Our community is located on a scenic, 11-mile penninsula in Washington County, Maine and represents Jonesport and Beals Island. Our district includes two PreK-8 elementary schools and one consolidated high school serving grades 9-12. We invite you to visit our community and our schools! Moosabec CSD and School Union No. 103 seek to ensure that all children within its jurisdiction are identified, located and evaluated who are age 3 through the school year in which they turn 20 and who are in need of special education and supportive assistance including homeless children, state wards, state agency clients, students who have been suspended or expelled, children attending private schools receiving home instruction, children incarcerated in county jails, children who have absences during a school year, highly mobile children (including migrant or homeless), and children who are suspected of being disabled and in need of special education and supportive assistance even though they are advancing from grade to grade. As part of the requirements of the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Schools Act), our Title I schools, Beals Elementary and Jonesport Elementary, are required to provide you, the parents and members of our community, a District and School Report Card. This report card shows the results of the NWEA and MEA tests in English Language Arts, Math, and Science. These Report Cards can be viewed in several places around town including: the Superintendent's Office, Jonesport-Beals High School, Jonesport Elementary School, Beals Elementary School, Peabody Memorial Library, the Jonesport Town Office, and the Beals Town Office. Parents and community members can also access the ESEA 2016-2017 School Report Card on the Maine Assessment and Accountability Reporting System (MAARS) Public Portal ( https://lms.backpack. education/public/maine ).
